Some of the greatest tennis players in the history of the game, including Jimmy Connors, Bille Jean King and Arthur Ashe grew up playing in the public parks, and we are proud to be part of that tradition.

We offer our exciting tennis and fitness programs at two terrific Sarasota County Park locations. Potter Park is located on the Palmer Ranch approximately 9 miles south of Downtown Sarasota and Payne Park is located in Downtown Sarasota.


Potter Park
Potter Park, the Academy’s primary location for all programs, is located at 8586 Potter Park Drive in Sarasota, Florida 34238. The 37 acre park, on the Palmer Ranch, is adjacent to the YMCA fitness facility and is about 9 miles south of downtown Sarasota. The facility’s features include:


• 4 lighted hard courts
• grass fields for cross-training and cardiovascular conditioning
• running path
• sand training pit


Adjacent YMCA facility features (only available through YMCA membership)

• free-weight training and fitness machines
• racquetball courts
• gymnasium
• indoor running track
• locker rooms with showers


Payne Park

Payne Park is our satellite location for clay court and backboard training, as well as summer camps and some QuickStart programs. The park is centrally located at 2050 Adams Lane in Sarasota, Florida 34237. Convenient to all of Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and the I-75 corridor, the park is situated on 14 acres just east of U.S. 301 and approximately ½ mile south of Fruitville Road in the heart of downtown Sarasota. Payne Park is home to some of Sarasota’s highest quality and best maintained Har-Tru tennis courts. The facility’s features include:

• 12 lighted Har-Tru HydroGrid tennis courts
• regulation sized court backboard
• ½ mile running path
• grass fields for cross-training and cardiovascular conditioning
• USTA Outstanding Tennis Facility award (1996)
• locker rooms with showers
• convenient to downtown restaurants and amenities
• indoor & outdoor swimming pools
